Tribal Circuit

HOW TO REACH HIMACHAL

Road Connection

State Transport Department of Himachal Pradesh (HPTDC) operates coaches from July – September on 480 Kms long Manali – Leh highway. Atal Tunnel (also known as Rohtang Tunnel) is built on this Manali-Leh highway which is 9.02 Kms long at an altitude of 10,000 feet. This tunnel drastically reduces the travel time & distance Manali&Keylong, now this travel is of 71Kms(approx. 2 Hrs travel time against) previous route which passes via Gramphu& distance was 116 Kms& travel time approx. 5-6 hrs. This tunnel bypasses most of the dangerous sites which were prone to road blockades, avalanches & traffic roars.

Railway Connection
